Is This CricPlus Message Real? How to Check WhatsApp Messages, Links and Numbers

A CricPlus message is only real if it comes from the official WhatsApp chat you opened yourself from an official CricPlus domain. CricPlus does not message you first from other numbers, use agents, or ask for your password, an OTP or a payment to unlock an ID. If a message does any of these, treat it as fake.

Key facts: checking CricPlus messages and numbers (as of October 2026)

  • The only official CricPlus support channel is WhatsApp, opened from the support link on an official CricPlus domain.
  • Official domains: cricplus.support (main), cricplus.red, cricplus.help, cricplus.bz and cricplus.com.co. A link to any other address is not CricPlus.
  • CricPlus never asks for your password or an OTP, and never charges a fee to issue, verify or unlock an ID.
  • CricPlus has no agents and no demo IDs. IDs and password resets come only from official WhatsApp support.
  • CricPlus will not contact you first from a different number claiming to be CricPlus.

How can I tell if a CricPlus message is real?

Ask two questions. First, who started the conversation? Second, what does the message want from you?

Real CricPlus support is a chat that you open, by tapping the WhatsApp link on an official domain. In that chat, support may ask for your username so it can find your account. That is all it needs.

A fake message usually arrives without warning and wants something: your password, a code, a deposit, a fee or a tap on a link. Urgency ("your ID will be blocked in 1 hour"), rewards ("100% bonus tonight only") and threats are there to stop you checking.

What do fake CricPlus messages usually look like?

Most scam messages fall into a handful of patterns. Use this table to sort a message you have received.

Message says Real or fake? What to do
"CricPlus has a new link, log in here" from an unknown number or group Fake until checked Compare the domain with the official list. Don't log in from the message
"Your ID is locked. Send your password and the OTP to unlock" Fake CricPlus never asks for a password or OTP. Block and report
"Pay a small verification fee to activate or unlock your ID" Fake CricPlus never charges to issue, verify or unlock an ID
"I am an official CricPlus agent. Deposit to this account for a new ID" Fake CricPlus has no agents. Never pay into a personal account
"Free demo ID, just register here" Fake CricPlus does not offer demo IDs
"Install this app so our team can fix your account" Fake CricPlus never asks you to install remote-access or screen-sharing apps
A reply in the WhatsApp chat you opened from an official domain, asking for your username Real Send your username only, never your password

Is a "new CricPlus link" message ever genuine?

No. CricPlus does not send "new link" messages from unknown numbers, groups, channels or social media pages. The official domains are already published and all run on the same platform, so you never need a stranger's link to log in.

If someone sends you a link, don't tap it. Read the domain instead, letter by letter, and check it against every official CricPlus web address. Watch for small changes:

  • extra words, such as "cricplus-login", "cricplusofficial" or "cricplus-new"
  • swapped or doubled letters, such as "crickplus" or "cricpluss"
  • a different ending, such as .net, .xyz or .live instead of an official ending
  • a shortened link that hides the real address

If the domain is not one of the five official ones, it is not CricPlus, however polished the page looks. For the signs a page itself is fake, see the warning signs of a copycat website.

How do I check whether a phone number is really CricPlus Support?

Don't try to judge a number by how it looks, its profile picture or its display name. Anyone can name a WhatsApp account "CricPlus Support" and use the CricPlus logo.

The safe method is to start from an official domain every time:

  1. Don't reply to the number that contacted you. Leave the conversation as it is.
  2. Type an official domain yourself, for example cricplus.support or cricplus.help, into your browser. Don't use a link from the message.
  3. Tap the WhatsApp support link on that official page. The chat that opens is official CricPlus Support.
  4. Compare. If the number that messaged you is not the chat that opened from the official link, it is not CricPlus.
  5. Ask official support if you're unsure. Send a screenshot of the message and the number to the official chat and ask whether it is genuine.

Saving the official chat once and starting every conversation from it removes most of the risk. Our guide to keep official links saved on your phone shows how to bookmark the domains so the support link is always one tap away.

Why would anyone ask for my password, OTP or a payment?

Because with your password, a scammer can log in to your account. With a payment, they simply take the money. Neither request ever comes from CricPlus.

Here is what CricPlus actually does, so you can spot the difference:

  • Password resets happen only in the official WhatsApp chat. There is no email or OTP self-service reset, so any message saying "enter the OTP we just sent" is fake.
  • Unlocking a locked account is done by official support. It never involves a fee.
  • IDs are issued only through official WhatsApp support. Anyone selling or "activating" an ID elsewhere is not CricPlus.
  • Deposits are never requested into a personal bank account or wallet.

A scammer using your details can also get your account locked: using one ID on two or more devices at the same time is one of the CricPlus lock triggers.

What should I do with a message I think is fake?

Don't reply, don't tap any link and don't send anything. Then:

  • Report it to CricPlus. Send a screenshot of the message, including the number or link, to official CricPlus Support on WhatsApp. Reports of fake numbers are reviewed by the CricPlus Security Officer.
  • Block and report the number in WhatsApp. Open the chat, tap the contact name and choose block and report. This helps WhatsApp act on the account.
  • Leave groups that keep pushing links. A group sharing "working links" or "agent IDs" is not an official CricPlus channel.

What if I already replied, tapped the link or paid?

Act quickly:

  • If you shared your password or entered it on a fake page, message official support straight away and ask for a password reset. Send your username, never the password itself.
  • If your account is locked, stop trying to log in. Repeated failed logins and repeated forgot-password requests are both triggers that can lock an account. Let official support unlock it.
  • If you paid money, contact your bank or payment provider with the date, the amount and the account you paid into.
  • If you installed an app the scammer sent, remove it and run a security scan on your device.

Frequently asked questions

Does CricPlus send messages from different WhatsApp numbers?

No. CricPlus will not contact you first from a different number claiming to be CricPlus. The only official chat is the one you open from the WhatsApp link on an official CricPlus domain.

Someone sent me a new CricPlus link. Should I use it?

No. Don't tap it. Check the domain against the five official domains: cricplus.support, cricplus.red, cricplus.help, cricplus.bz and cricplus.com.co. If it isn't one of these, it isn't CricPlus. Type an official address yourself instead.

Will CricPlus Support ever ask for my OTP?

No. CricPlus has no OTP-based password reset, and support never asks for a password or a one-time passcode. Any message asking for an OTP is a scam.

I was asked to pay a fee to unlock my ID. Is that real?

No. CricPlus never charges a fee to issue, verify or unlock an ID. Locked accounts are unlocked by official CricPlus Support on WhatsApp at no charge. Don't pay, and report the message.

Is a WhatsApp account called "CricPlus Support" always official?

No. Anyone can set that name and use the logo. Open official support from the WhatsApp link on an official CricPlus domain, and compare. If the number that messaged you is different, it's fake.

How do I report a fake CricPlus number?

Send a screenshot of the message and number to official CricPlus Support on WhatsApp, then block and report the number inside WhatsApp. The CricPlus Security Officer reviews reports of fake numbers.
